As seen in the video below, Poole was standing under the basket. From the video, it seems like he was saying something without looking at Green. In few seconds, Green goes so close of Poole. Bob Myers, Golden State’s general manager, recognized that there had been an “quarrel” between the two players when he talked at a news gathering Thursday, adding that any disciplinary activity against Green would be taken care of inside.
“Look, it’s the N.B.A.,” Myers said. “It’s professional sports. These things happen. Nobody likes it. We don’t condone it. But it happened.”
Myers said Green apologized in a team meeting, attended by all players and coaching staff. Green did not come to practice with them on Thursday. A representative for the group said Golden State was exploring the way in which the video got to TMZ. Yet, lead trainer Steve Kerr anticipates that he should be back on Saturday.
